For the short film " ceci n'est pas une pipe" it all started with a cookie box that had a painting on it from René Magritte - a surréalist Belgium artist. After seeing the cookie boxes and inspired by the painter his work I wanted to create a video that used these boxes as portals to new and abstract worlds. Later I found an audio clip of an interview of the painter and it seemed to work perfectly with the images that I was assembling for the video. Music & sound effects were added to enhance the words of the painter and to make the piece come to life.
